Tang Zhouping, Secretary of the CPC Committee of Tongji Hospital Affiliated to Tongji Medical College, Huazhong University of Science and Technology (HUST), Secretary of the Party Committee of the Second Clinical College, Director of the National Medical Center for Major Public Health Events.

 

He is an M.D., Ph.D., second-tier professor, chief physician, doctoral supervisor. He is engaged in clinical, research and teaching of Neurology as well as the hospital management.

 

He serves as the Director of the First Expert Committee on Modern Governance Capacity Building for Public Hospitals of the National Health Commission, Deputy Director of the Ninth Healthcare Standards Committee's Medical Service Standards Professional Committee of the National Health Commission, Member of the Expert Committee for Enhancing Medical Service Capacity of National Regional Medical Centers of the National Health Commission, Member of the Expert Committee for Cerebrovascular Disease Prevention and Treatment of the Healthy China Initiative, Vice Chairman of the Brain Hemorrhage Research Alliance of the National Clinical Research Center for Neurological Diseases, Vice President of the Chinese Stroke Association, Founder and Director of the Minimally Invasive Treatment Branch for Brain Hemorrhage under the Chinese Stroke Association, Deputy Director of the Neurorehabilitation Professional Committee of the Chinese Medical Doctor Association, Chairman of the Hubei Provincial Stroke Specialist Alliance, Deputy Director of the Wuhan Medical Association Neurology Branch, Director of the Wuhan Brain-Computer Interface Medical Insurance Data Research Center, Director of the Tongji Hospital Brain-Computer Interface Translational Research Center, Director of the Tongji Hospital Brain-Computer Interface Joint Laboratory, and Chief Scientist of the Major Research Program of the National Natural Science Foundation of China.


He has led 7 key and general projects funded by the National Natural Science Foundation of China and has published over 300 research papers, including more than 100 indexed in SCI. He has served as editor-in-chief for several books, including Brain Science and Brain-Like Computing, Intracranial Hemorrhage: From Bench to Bedside, Neurological Emergencies, Chinese Medical Education Teaching Case Database/Case-Based Digital Textbook (Neurology), and Guidelines for Diagnosis and Treatment of Neurological Diseases (4th Edition). Additionally, he has been deputy editor-in-chief for Minimally Invasive Treatment of Hypertensive Intracerebral Hemorrhage, Guidelines for Diagnosis and Treatment of Neurological Diseases (3rd Edition), and the National Ideological and Political Case Database for Clinical Medicine Education: Digital Case Collection of Neurology. As the primary contributor, he was awarded the First Prize of Hubei Provincial Science and Technology Progress Award in 2019. He also serves as the Editor-in-Chief of Brain Hemorrhages.
