As the first hospital in Hubei to be designated by Hubei Provincial Government,Hubei Provincial Foreign Affairs Office and Hubei Provincial Health Commission for foreign patients,Tongji hospital has been responsible for the medical and health care of the foreign patients and overseas Chinese and has undertaken the medical guarantee task formajor foreign affairs and international tournaments in Hubei province.Tongji hospital is also the preferred medical institution for Consulate General,multinational enterprises,and international insurance companies in Wuhan.In 2012,Tongji hospital became the first Asian hospital to pass the quality certification from the German Cooperation forTransparency and Quality in Health (KTQ).In 2013,Tongji hospital was designated as the International Emergency Rescue Center Hospital by the International Exchange and Cooperation Center of National Health Commission.
